QUETTA, Pakistan (AFP) — A suicide bomber Monday killed at least five people and wounded seven others at a (grils) religious school in a remote southwestern Pakistani town, police said. The bombing took place inside a madrassa, an Islamic school, in Kili Karbala village in Pishin district, some 50 kilometres (30 miles) north of Quetta, where a political gathering was to take place, it said. "Five people have died in the suicide blast," senior police official Akbar Raeesani told AFP.Witness Haji Mohammad Aslam said the chief of the Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) political party, Maulana Shirani, was due to address a gathering.

Aslam said Shirani is known for his opposition to Taliban militants, who are known to operate in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region. Shirani is also known for his efforts for the Sunni-Shia unity in Pakistan.


PISHIN: The bomber, believed to be in his 17, exploded his bomb when a senior leader of Jamiat ulema-e-Islam party, Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani was coming out of the seminary. There was no immediate report of Sherani’s fate. No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Sherani survived assassination attempt in the past.


QUETTA, Mar 2 (APP): Death toll from Pishin blast raised to six after another injured identified as Syed Mohammad Naeem succumbed to his injuries in a hospital in Pishin.

DPO Pishin Akbar Raisani told APP that a suicide bomber blew himself up soon after a certificate distribution ceremony held at local girls seminary.

The target of bomber might be some eminant personalities as JUI‑F provincial Amir Maulana Mohammad Khan Shirani along with Balochistan Assembly Deputy Speaker Syed Matiullah Agha and provincial Minister for PHE Maulana Abdul Bari Agha also attended the occasion. They all escaped the blast as they left the ceremony 10 minutes ahead of the explosion but it killed four students present there besides critically injuring two. The deceased had been identified as Mohammad Jallat Khan, Syed Nizamuddin, Abdul Qadir and Syed Bismillah while injured as Syed Mohammad Naeem and Syed Abdul Bari. However, of them Syed Mohammad Naeem succumbed to his injuries, later.


پشین دھماکے کے خلاف مظاہرے

یہ احتجاج گزشتہ روز پشین میں کلی کربلا کے مقام پر طالبات کے ایک مدرسے میں خود کش دھماکہ کے خلاف ہوا۔ یہ دھماکہ جمعیت علماء اسلام کے صوبائی سربراہ مولانا محمد خان شیرانی کے چند لمحے پہلے روانگی کے بعد ہوا۔

مولانا محمد خان شیرانی نے اس واقعہ کے بارے میں بتایا کہ کہ ان کے ساتھیوں کو ایک چودہ سالہ لڑکا مشکوک نظر آیا تو اس سے پوچھ گچھ کی جس پر لڑکے نے کبھی اپنا تعلق وزیرستان سے کبھی افغانستان کے صوبہ ہلمند سے بتایا۔ لیکن اس لڑکے کی زبان سے یہ ظاہر ہو رہا تھا کہ اس کی زبان مقامی نہیں تھی بلکہ وزیرستان یا کسی اور علاقے سے معلوم ہوتی تھی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جب لڑکے کی تلاشی لینے کی کوشش کی تو اس نے انکار کیا اور اس دوران لڑکے نے اپنے آپ کو دھماکے سے اڑا دیا جس سے اس لڑکے سمیت چھ افراد ہلاک ہو گئے ہیں۔

محمد خان شیرانی نے کہا کہ اس طرح کی کارروائیوں یا تنظیموں کے پیچھے ادارے ہوتے ہیں۔
