Swat: Civil judges must refrain from coming to the courts. Sufi Muhammad's order

Sufi Muhammad urges people to cooperate with Qazi courts

SWAT, Mar 16 (APP): The Chief of Tehrik Nifaz‑e‑Shariat Muhammadi (TNSM), Maulana Sufi Muhammad here Monday appealed people to cooperate with the Qazi courts for quick, speedy and inexpensive justice to litigants in light of the Nizam‑e‑Adl regulations 2009. He told a press conference here at peace camp in Saidu Sharif that Qazi courts in the district will hear cases from Tuesday in accordance with the Nizam‑e‑Adl regulations. The TNSM Chief said after the announcement of provincial government, the Qazi courts will take up cases from February 16 and will start proceedings in Swat from Tuesday. He also instructed the civil judges must not come to courts any more.

“I will himself supervise the process of courts after which Qazi courts would also be gradually extended to Dir, Buner, Malakand Agency, Shangla, Kohistan and Chitral districts,” he added. He said that Darul Qazi (appellate) tribunal will be setup at divisional level in which three Qazis would be appointed.

Sufi asks Swat judges to cease hearings

* TNSM chief says continued hearings violate peace agreement
* PHC asks NWFP govt to ensure safety of judges
* Registrar says judges to continue jobs until told otherwise

PESHAWAR/MINGORA: Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat Muhammad (TNSM) chief Sufi Muhammad warned judges of the Swat lower judiciary on Monday to cease their hearings, as sharia courts would start operations in the district from today (Tuesday).

He warned at a press conference that if the judicial officers continued to attend their offices, it would be considered a violation of the peace accord between him and the NWFP government.

Under the agreement, Sufi said all decisions rendered by lower courts in Swat after February 16 are void, and only the qazi courts are qualified to decide the cases in the district under sharia law. He claimed there was no need for President Asif Ali Zardari’s approval on the Nizam-e-Adl (Shari) Regulations, 2009 as such regulations had already been implemented in the region without presidential consent. He said qazi courts would now be established in Lower and Upper Dir districts, Buner, Malakand Agency, Shangla, Kohistan and Chitral districts.

Sufi said if the appointed qazis did not deliver their verdicts in light of sharia laws, they would be replaced by other qazis. He said the qazi courts’ decisions would be challenged in Darul Qaza, for which two qazis had already been appointed and a third one would be appointed soon. He appealed to the public to examine the qazi courts’ verdicts and efficiency, and inform him of any weaknesses and delays.

Concern: Following the press conference, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) expressed concern at TNSM chief Sufi Muhammad’s threats to judges in Swat, and directed the NWFP government to ensure the safety of Swat judges and courts. PHC Registrar Qalandar Ali Khan told Daily Times the PHC and provincial government supported the appointment of sharia courts in Swat, but Sufi’s warning to Swat judges against attending to their duties from today was a matter of concern.

Denouncing the warning, the PHC registrar said he had contacted Swat District and Sessions Judge Hayat Khan after learning of the threat, and they had decided that the lower court judges would resume their hearings into the cases pending before them. “I have informed the provincial government of the security concern. But it has not responded yet,” he said, adding it was the provincial government’s duty to ensure protection of the judiciary. He said the lower courts could only be shut down if the provincial government ordered the PHC to do so.

Human memory is weak. Our Cricketer turn politician Imran Khan terms that Zardari-Altaf Hussain-Musharraf are united on US Agenda in the region. Whereas after 9/11 the same Imran Khan brazenly supported General Musharraf in his referendum a referendum which was quoted 'BOGUS AND SHAM' by international community. He was hopeful for the post of Prime Minister in 2002 that post later went to Jamali. The romance of Imran Khan with General Hameed Gul is not a secret the

same Hamid Gul who gave a very Anti-Pakistan Slogan to Mian Nawaz Sharif in 1988 Election a slogan which is detrimental to the fragile Federation of Pakistan [Jag Punjabi Jag Teri Pag Nu Lag Gaya Dagh - Wake O Punjabi your turban is tainted]

For evidence:

His Excellency holds forth by Kamran Shafi

He should know more than anyone in the world the ugly machinations of Mr. GIK when he sat brooding, Sphinx-like, in the Presidency, plotting his next move, placing his pawns in all the important positions in the government and virtually choking off the hapless civilian government. His Excellency should know (from reports filed by the US Consulate's Political Officer at Lahore, surely) of the Punjab Government's open revolt against the Federation, led by the Establishment's then blue-eyed son, Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab no less. As part of which mutiny Punjab government funds were used to foment rebellion against the "Sindhi Prime Minister" by printing and distributing flyers and buttons and bumper stickers and banners exhorting the Punjabis to wake-up. 'Jag Punjabi Jag' was the chilling slogan.

in his Anti-Bhutto Fervor [Ms. Bhutto and her corruption detail is entirely a different debate and if that is relevant here than why shouldnt we discuss Hamid Gul's Corruption for his alleged Misconduct while in serving the Armed Forces of Pakistan he created Islami Jamhoori Ittehad [Islamic democratic Alliance and he himself on many times openly and shamelessly admitted and Dr Ayesha Siddiqua Agha has even mentioned Hameed Gul for his alleged Corruption while serving the Army.

Both of these gentlemen [Imran and General Gul] condemning Benzair right and left [no objection its their democratic right] but why they forget that APDM comprised upon those religious parties [MMA] who supported General Musharraf's 17 Constitutional Amendment/LFO and Uniform. Imran, Hamid Gul, Ghulam Mustafa Khar [he was helped by General Faiz Ali Chishti during General Zia's Martial Law] and that Neo Facsist Jamat-e-Islami leader Munawwar Hassan brazenly talk of BB-Musharraf deal whereas every Gentlemen amongst them one way or another supported Musharraf. Not a peep from Imran and Hameed Gul on MMA open support to Musharraf. Imran's wife Jemima Khan shamelssly writes in Daily Telegraph "Benazir Bhutto, a kleptocrat in a Hermes scarf"
wheereas her husband is sitting with very those element who created this mess of 17 Amendment/LFO and before that he was an avid supporter of Musharraf.

Read about Imran's love of Talibans:

http://www.newsline.com.pk/NewsDec2002/newsbeatdec5.htm

Imran Khan's choice of candidate for prime minister has left many of his ardent fans, especially women, dumbfounded. The cricketer-turned-politician voted for Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal's nominee for premier, against the advise of many liberal and progressive members within his Tehrik-e-Insaaf (TI).

Imran used his solitary vote in parliament in Rehman's favour, forwarding the argument that the MMA is the only political force that is independent and does not take dictation from abroad. He maintained that he found himself ideologically and politically close to the MMA, which denounces President Pervez Musharraf's support to the international coalition in the war against terrorism, especially in neighbouring Afghanistan.

"Khan has more than a soft corner for the ousted Afghan Taliban," a senior leader of his party said on the condition of anonymity. "He thinks that the orthodox religious militia did a great service to Afghanistan and Islam before they became a target of the Americans."

Also, the MMA's firm stand against Musharraf, especially his series of controversial constitutional amendments, won the heart of Pakistan's former speedster, he added.

Imran's protracted bitterness towards the Pakistan Peoples' Party and anger against the Pakistan Muslim League left him with no alternative other than the MMA, which secured 86 votes, including those of the Pakistan Muslim League (N).

Khan's vote for the pro-Taliban cleric has added to the political confusion within his party, which performed poorly in the October 10 elections. "It would have been understandable, had Imran voted for a candidate that was nominated jointly by the opposition," said a senior Tehrik-e-Insaaf leader. "But by voting for the MMA, he most certainly has lost his standing among the liberal, democratic and progressive elements in society."

Human rights groups and the majority of the moderate and liberal Muslims have been extremely critical of the MMA's narrow interpretation of Islam and the conservative views of its leaders on women, education, fine arts, television and sports. By voting for the MMA, the Tehrik-e-Insaaf chief has, in effect, endorsed the religious alliance's stand on these issues as well.

Will the women's wing of the Tehrik-e-Insaaf, led by Jemima, Khan's British-born wife, endorse the Taliban-like interpretation of Islam? That remains a moot point.

Mairaj Mohammed Khan, the Tehrik-e-Insaaf's secretary general who has spent a lifetime advocating socialism and secular politics, finds it hard to defend the somersaults of the party leader, who has drifted from one extreme (of being pro-Musharraf) to the other extreme (of being anti-Musharraf) within a short span of time.

"Even we are finding it difficult to figure out the real Imran," quipped another of his Karachi-based leaders. "He dons the shalwar-kameez and preaches desi and religious values while in Pakistan, but transforms himself completely while rubbing shoulders with the elite in Britain and elsewhere in the west."

Many in the Tehrik-e-Insaaf would have preferred to see Imran abstain from the voting like the veteran Pakhtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

"But such political maturity is perhaps too much to ask or expect of Imran," says a Karachi-based Tehrik-e-Insaaf leader and a close aide of Mairaj Mohammed Khan's. "It is understandable why people do not take Imran and his party seriously in politics," he said. "His self-righteousness and high-flying principles fail to explain the contradiction between his strange fondness for the maulanas and his passion for all the good things in life which have come from the west.

From ladies man to the Taliban:

MIM: Imran Khan's instigation of last years Koran flush rumor riots must have earned him his street creds by the Taliban supporting MMA. Khan's new
partnership of his party Tehrik-e- Insaf together with the pro Taliban MMA prove that his transformation from Westernised millionaire playboy crickeer to radical Islamist 'fundi' is now complete. His divorce from UK
born billionaire' s daughter wife may have to do with the fact that Khan's new cronies believe that women belong in burqas locked up at home, and his ex's Jewish father was considered a political liability.

Imran assures support to MMA's anti-Musharraf drive

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and acting president Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Qazi Hussain Ahmed, after
agreeing on three basic points for the restoration of democracy, have said that they will cooperate mutually for the supremacy of constitution, restoration of real democracy and in the anti-uniform movement.

Qazi and Imran met Tuesday at the residence of former.

Qazi warmly welcomed Imran Khan at his residence and invited him to participate and address in the public gatherings of expected anti-uniform campaign, which Imran Khan accepted.

Both, either Republicans or Democrat are same as far as the Third World is concerned. My reply would be in two Parts:1 - Republicans [Grand Old Party - GOP]:US Government is in the hands of Zionists and i.e. 100% For example one must not overlook a fact that John Kerry [Democart voted in favour of US War on Iraq like John Kerry [Democrat]. Political Activist type of Mullahs e.g. Qazi Hussain Ahmed/Jamat-e-Islami often raise hue and cry against the so-called Imperialism of the US. I call it the connivance of MMA-Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Jamat-e-Islami to support General Musharraf Martial Law Regime [basically US Republican War Machine] from 2002-2007 particularly in reference with 17 th Constitutional Amendment i.e. LFO to offer Musharraf a complete free hand through this notorious and illegal constitutional amendment rather tampering.A key member of MMA [Alliance of Religious Parties of Pakistan which supported General Musharraf] Akram Khan Durrani [the then Chief Minister of NWFP - 2002 - 2007] visited the USA-PENTAGONE- US DEFENCE DEPTT, for discussing what Propblem of Muslim Ummah? Read

Let me tell you about Zionists lobby i.e. basically Neocons lest you foget history which is second nature of nowadays Ummah while completely forgetting the facts during Afghan War of Independence 1979-1989 the very same Zionist lobby i.e. Neo-Cons in US were the ones who helped Afghans through Pakistan. Many of the present Neo-Cons [also Zionists] were very young while serving Ronald Reagan's Jihad in Afghanistan e.g. Armitage, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld and countless others. [Do check US State Deptt. website]

KNOWN NEOCONS-ZIONISTS IN AMERICAN POLITICS:

Under this doctrine, known as the Kirkpatrick Doctrine, the Reagan administration initially tolerated leaders such as Augusto Pinochet in Chile and Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines and General Ziaul Haq in Pakistan. As the 1980's wore on, however, younger, second-generation neoconservatives, such as Elliot Abrams, pushed for a clear policy of supporting democracy against both left and right wing dictators. Thus, while U.S. support for Marcos continued until and even after the fraudulent Philippine election of February 7, 1986, there was debate within the administration regarding how and when to oppose Marcos. In the days that followed, with the widespread popular refusal to accept Marcos as the purported winner, turmoil in the Philippines grew. I am amazed at selective and compartmentalized approach of Islamists and Pakistanists of Pakistan which condmens Asif Ali Zardair but absolves General Zia and Jamat-e-Islami. Even during the of Musharraf, his allies in NWFP and Baluchistan [i.e. MMA Alliance of Religio Political Parties] visited the USA and even if that was not enough they were welcomed in Pentagon and US Defence Department.Under the very nose of US Republican Party and George Bush, the Radical Islamic Fundamentalist were allies [MMA an alliance of religio political party were partners in power with Musharraf in NWFP AND Baluchistan 2002-2007].

The amazing thing is that a key leader of this Radical Islamic Fundamentalist Group met with several highups of US Department of Defence and Pentagon and leading US Power Brokers and guess what MMA leader were given a detailed tour of Pentagon under this very George W Bush and his "War on Terror".As per news reports in 2005 [GEO TV and Daily Dawn reference is at the end] the then Chief Minister NWFP [Pakistan] Akram Khan Durrani's [member of Religious Parties Alliance]US Visit where he met senior policy advisor on South Asia Jonah Blank and Senator Sanatorium at Capital Hill. Earlier, Mr Durrani met Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence Peter Floury at Pentagon where he visited various sections. During his meetings with US authorities, Mr Durrani explained policies of the MMA government.

Qazi Hussain Ahmed [Chief of Jamat-e-Islami and MMA - An alliance of Religious Political Parties and allies of General Musharraf]

Addressing members of Brooking Institution , he said that a government of the people was in place in the NWFP. He said that common man had easy access to MMA government and minorities and women were being given specialcare.

As per Mr. Shaheen Sehbai [A correspondent in The News International in Pakistan had written]

"QUOTE"

As the guest of a Christian organization which calls itself “a Think Tank with Legs”, the Chief Minister of Pakistan’s North-western Province, NWFP, Akram Khan Durrani, has used the legs of the think tank to reach the Pentagon and Washington’s thinking elite. And the Opposition religious coalition, Muttahida Majlis Amal (MMA), leader has been preaching the USdecision-makers a word or two about the controversial Hasba Act, the recently passed law which, critics say, means Talibanization of Pakistan. It is being introduced by the Provincial Government to appeal toits conservative constituency in the backward province before the Local Government elections later this month. It is the Law against which the Federal Government of General Pervez Musharraf has petitioned the Supreme Court of Pakistan claiming it was against the Constitution and should be declared null and void. The MMA says it will contest forcibly in the SC. “Yes I visited the Pentagon and gave them a copy of the Hasba Act,” Durrani (above) told the South Asia Tribune on Saturday night, explaining that it was not at all odd that he was trying to convince Washington that the Act was not meant to Talibanize the Pakistani society. Durrani has been in Washington from July 9-19 as guest of Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) which, according to its web site, was “created to develop sustainable environments for religious freedom worldwide, and to inspire and equip emerging leaders with faith-based methodologies of engagement.”Founded by Robert A. Seiple, the first-ever US Ambassador-at- Large for International Religious Freedom, “IGE uniquely combines strategic analysiswith an operational component that seeks solutions to complex political and religious problems in difficult parts of the world.” “In this age of widespread religious conflict, pluralism, and change, finding such solutions requires a deep understanding of geopolitical realities as well as an approach that is "shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves," the web site of IGE says.To meet this challenge, IGE partners with governments, religious organizations, scholars, practitioners, and international advocacy groups to take on innovative projects that strike at the root of religious intolerance and educate emerging leaders to take religion seriously in their consideration of international affairs.

“We're a "think tank with legs," or if you're feeling less poetic, a "think-and-do- tank." What does that mean? We recognize that thinking is simply our initial step. We're also committed to praying and acting on the basis of our thought and research,” the IGE web site explains.Chief Minister Durrani has been in Washington with his three sons, one Principal Officer and an Interpreter, all hosted by IGE for 11 days in the US capital and New York. “I had a wonderful trip, my children also saw America and we had good meetings with National Security Council and Pentagon officials. I gave every one a copy of the Hasba Act,” Durrani told the South Asia Tribune. The religious leader from the radically Islamized province has been trying in all his meetings to convince the Americans that his party was not as radical as perceived and they could do business with the Americans on the same terms as any one else. But as a slip of his tongue in one of the TV interviews, Durrani claimed that after he explained the provisions of the Hasba Act to Pentagon officials, they almost approved it and gave a green light to go ahead. But he quickly stopped making the remark to other media channels and when he was specifically asked by South Asia Tribune whether he was able to convince the Pentagon, he was non-committal and said it was for Pentagon to give their opinion. He was asked whether the Hasba Act, now in the Supreme Court of Pakistan after it was challenged by the Federal Government as violative of the Constitution, would still be pursued if the Court ruled against the MMA, and whether MMA would accept the Court decision, Durrani was a little uncomfortable answering the question saying “Let us think positively as our legal brains have studied the Act in detail and they can successfully argue that it does not come into conflict with the Constitution.” Durrani was, however, almost sure after his round of meetings with think tanks andNSC/Pentagon officials in Washington that his Government in NWFP would not be dismissed by General Musharraf because of the Hasba Act. “I did say that we will wreak havoc if Governor’s Rule was imposed, but I am sure that stage would never be reached as we have worked with the Center on manysensitive issues in the past and reached a mutually acceptable solution,” he said. But Durrani could not convincingly respond to the question that by bringing up the Hasba issue at this stage, the Opposition MMA had actually played into the hands of the Musharraf Government and diverted the focus of national politics from the up-coming unity talks and a possible alliance between the MMA, PPP and PML-N on the more basic issue of getting rid of a military dictator. “We are talking to the Oppositionparties for a joint struggle at the Federal level but provinces can legislate and opposition to local laws does not mean we would stop talking to each other at all levels,” he said.Yet the fact is that MMA has hijacked the national agenda by introducing and passing the Hasba Act in a hurry which prompted other major parties including PPP to sharply attack the MMA and condemn it. No one would have been happier than General Musharraf with this political move. And MMA itself is almost in a win-win situation because if the Hasba Act is enforced, they will have a new Islamic Police at their command which can ultimately be used politically against the Center and other political opponents.

On the other hand, if the Act is not allowed by the Supreme Court or if the NWFP Assembly is dismissed, MMA would emerge as “martyrs of Islam” and would be able to recruit more supporters for its hardline policies.

"UNQUOTE"

On one hand these Mullahs particularly of Jamat-e-Islami talk against the West particularly the USA, Secularism, Democracy, Liberalism and on the other hand they had sought from the same quarter as NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani, who visited USA, and met US Senator Mr Biden in Washington. Addressing members of Brooking Institution [According to Islamist Mullahs/Pakistanists every Think Tank is CIA backed and Zionist in nature], he said that a government of the people was in place in the NWFP. He said that common man had easy access to MMA government and minorities and women were being given special care. Since last many decades these numskulls Mullah declare anybody an agent of Zionists, USA, and CIA, if he/she belongs to MQM, PPP, PML-N and they since 9/11 declaring Musharraf and Co an agents of Zionists, I wonder what was in the mind of Pro Taliban Mullah Chief Minister NWFP when he was 'briefing' the brains and strategists in the US Defence department which as per a news article overwhelmingly Zionist.

The Israeli lobby has many "thinktanks" that provide future advisors to the various administrations, both Republican and Democrat. During the Clinton Administration, the Israeli lobby provided officials from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy like Martin Indyk. During the Bush Jr Administration, many of the officials the Israeli lobby provided are from their Republican "thinktanks, " like the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA).

1). Richard Perle----One of Bush's foreign policy advisors, he is the chairman of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board. A very likely Israeli government agent, Perle was expelled from Senator Henry Jackson's officein the 1970's after the National Security Agency (NSA) caught him passing Highly-Classified (National Security) documents to the Israeli Embassy. He later worked for the Israeli weapons firm, Soltam. Perle came from one the above mentioned pro-Israel thinktanks, the AEI. Perle is one of the leadingpro-Israeli fanatics leading this Iraq war mongering within the administration and now in the media.

2). Paul Wolfowitz--- -Deputy Defense Secretary, and member of Perle's Defense Policy Board, in the Pentagon. Wolfowitz is a close associate of Perle, and reportedly has close ties to the Israeli military. His sister lives in Israel. Wolfowitz came from the above mentioned Jewish thinktank, JINSA. Wolfowitz is the number two leader within the administration behindthis Iraq war mongering.

3). Douglas Feith----Under Secretary of Defense and Policy Advisor at the Pentagon. He is a close associate of Perle and served as his Special Counsel. Like Perle and the others, Feith is a pro-Israel extremist, who has advocated anti-Arab policies in the past. He is closely associated with the extremist group, the Zionist Organization of America, which evenattacks Jews that don't agree with its extremist views. Feith frequently speaks at ZOA conferences. Feith runs a small law firm, Feith and Zell, which only has one International office, in Israel. The majority of their legal work is representing Israeli interests. His firm's own website stated, prior to his appointment, that Feith "represents Israeli ArmamentsManufacturer. " Feith basically represents the Israeli War Machine. Feith also came from the Jewish thinktank JINSA. Feith, like Perle and Wolfowitz, are campaigning hard for this Israeli proxy war against Iraq.

4). Edward Luttwak----Member of the National Security Study Group of the Department of Defence at the Pentagon. Luttwak is reportedly an Israeli citizen and has taught in Israel. He frequently writes for Israeli and pro-Israeli newspapers and journals. Luttwak is an Israeli extremist whose main theme in many of his articles is the necessity of the U.S. waging waragainst Iraq.

5). Henry Kissinger--- --One of many Pentagon Advisors, Kissinger sits on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle. For detailed information about Kissinger's evil past, read Seymour Hersh's book (Price of Power: Kissinger in the Nixon White House). Kissinger likely had a part in the Watergate crimes, Southeast Asia mass murders (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos),Installing Chilean mass murdering dictator Pinochet, Operation Condor's mass killings in South America, and more recently served as Serbia's Ex-Dictator Slobodan Milosevic's Advisor. He consistently advocates goingto war against Iraq. Kissinger is the Ariel Sharon of the U.S. Unfortunately, President Bush nominated Kissinger as chairman of the September 11 investigating commission. It's like picking a bankrobber to investigate a fraud scandal.

6). Dov Zakheim----Under Secretary of Defense, Comptroller, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Department of Defense. He is an ordained rabbi and reportedly holds Israeli citizenship. Zakheim attended attended Jew's College in London and became an ordained Orthodox Jewish Rabbi in 1973. He was adjunct professor at New York's Jewish Yeshiva University.Zakheim is close to the Israeli lobby.

7). Kenneth Adelman----- One of many Pentagon Advisors, Adelman also sits on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle, and is another extremist pro-Israel advisor, who supports going to war against Iraq.Adelman frequently is a guest on Fox News, and often expresses extremist and often ridiculus anti-Arab and anti-Muslim views. Through his hatred or stupidity, he actually called Arabs "anti-Semitic" on Fox News (11/28/2001) , when he could have looked it up in the dictionary to find out that Arabs by definition are Semites.

8). Lewis Libby -----Vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff. The chief pro-Israel Jewish advisor to Cheney, it helps explains why Cheney is so gun-ho to invade Iraq. Libby is longtime associate of Wolfowitz. Libby was also a lawyer for convicted felon and Israeli spy Mark Rich, whom Clinton pardoned, in his last days as president.

9). Robert Satloff----U. S. National Security Council Advisor, Satloff was the executive director of the Israeli lobby's "think tank," Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Many of the Israeli lobby's "experts" come from this front group, like Martin Indyk.

10). Elliott Abrams-----National Security Council Advisor. He previously worked at Washington-based "Think Tank" Ethics and Public Policy Center. During the Reagan Adminstration, Abrams was the Assistant Secretary of State, handling, for the most part, Latin American affairs. He played an important role in the Iran-Contra Scandal, which involved illegally sellingU.S. weapons to Iran to fight Iraq, and illegally funding the contra rebels fighting to overthrow Nicaragua's Sandinista government. He also actively deceived three congressional committees about his involvement and thereby faced felony charges based on his testimony. Abrams pled guilty in 1991 to two misdemeanors and was sentenced to a year's probation and 100 hours of community service. A year later, former President Bush (Senior) granted Abrams a full pardon. He was one of the more hawkish pro-Israel Jews in the Reagan Administration' s State Department.

11). Marc Grossman---- -Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. He was Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Human Resources at the Department of State. Grossman is one of many of the pro-Israel Jewish officials from the Clinton Administration that Bush has promoted to higher posts.

12). Richard Haass-----Director of Policy Planning at the State Department and Ambassador at large. He is also Director of National Security Programs and Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). He was one of the more hawkish pro-Israel Jews in the first Bush (Sr) Administration who sat on the National Security Council, and who consistently advocates goingto war against Iraq. Haass is also a member of the Defense Department's National Security Study Group, at the Pentagon.

13). Robert Zoellick---- -U.S. Trade Representative, a cabinet-level position. He is also one of the more hawkish pro-Israel Jews in the Bush (Jr) Administration who advocated invading Iraq and occupying a portion of the country in order to set up setting up a Vichy-style puppet government. He consistently advocates going to war against Iraq.

14). Ari Fleischer--- -Official White House Spokesman for the Bush (Jr) Administration. Prominent in the Jewish community, some reports state that he holds Israeli citizenship. Fleischer is closely connected to the extremist Jewish group called the Chabad Lubavitch Hasidics, who follow the Qabala, and hold very extremist and insulting views of non-Jews. Fleischer was the co-president of Chabad's Capitol Jewish Forum. He received the Young Leadership Award from the American Friends of Lubavitch in October, 2001.

15). James Schlesinger- ----One of many Pentagon Advisors, Schlesinger also sits on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle and is anotherextremist pro-Israel advisor, who supports going to war against Iraq. Schlesinger is also a commissioner of the Defense Department's National Security Study Group, at the Pentagon.

16). David Frum-----White House speechwriter behind the "Axis of Evil" label. He lumps together all the lies and accusations against Iraq for Bush to justify the war.

17). Joshua Bolten----White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Bolten was previously a banker, former legislative aide, and prominent in the Jewishcommunity.

18). John Bolton----Under- Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security. Bolton is also a Senior Advisor to President Bush. Prior to this position, Bolton was Senior Vice President of the above mentioned pro-Israel thinktank, AEI. He recently (October 2002) accused Syria of having a nuclear program, so that they can attack Syria after Iraq. He must have forgotten that Israel has 400 nuclear warheads, some of which are thermonuclear weapons (according to a recent U.S. Air Force report).

19). David Wurmser----Special Assistant to John Bolton (above), the under-secretary for arms control and international security. Wurmser also worked at the AEI with Perle and Bolton. His wife, Meyrav Wurmser, along with Colonel Yigal Carmon, formerly of Israeli military intelligence, co-founded the Middle East Media Research Institute (Memri),a Washington-basedIsraeli outfit which distributes articles translated from Arabic newspapers portraying Arabs in a bad light.

20). Eliot Cohen-----Member of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board under Perle and is another extremist pro-Israel advisor. Like Adelman, he often expresses extremist and often ridiculus anti-Arab and anti-Muslim views. More recently, he wrote an opinion article in the Wall Street Journal openly admitting his rascist hatred of Islam claiming that Islam shouldbe the enemy, not terrorism.

21). Mel Sembler----- President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. A Prominent Jewish Republican and Former National Finance Chairman of the Republican National Committee. The Export-Import Bank facilitates trade relationships between U.S. businesses and foreign countries, specifically those with financial problems.

22). Michael Chertoff ----Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division, at the Justice Department.

23). Steve Goldsmith--- -Senior Advisor to the President, and Bush's Jewish domestic policy advisor. He also serves as liaison in the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (White House OFBCI) within the Executive Office of the President. He was the former mayor of Indianapolis. He is also friends with Israeli Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert and often visits Israel to coach mayors on privatization initiatives.

24). Adam Goldman----- White House's Special Liaison to the Jewish Community.

25). Joseph Gildenhorn-- ---Bush Campaign's Special Liaison to the Jewish Community. He was the DC finance chairman for the Bush campaign, as well as campaign coordinator, and former ambassador to Switzerland.

26). Christopher Gersten----- Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Administration for Children and Families at HHS. Gersten was the former Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition, Husband of Labor Secretary, Linda Chavez, and reportedly very pro-Israel. Their children are being raised Jewish.

27). Mark Weinberger-- ---Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax Policy.

Students rise for Imran, against IJT Unprecedented campus march By Mansoor Malik

LAHORE, Nov 15: A large number of Punjab University students on Thursday held a protest demonstration against Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT) for its manhandling of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf Chief Imran Khan.

http://www.dawn.com/2007/11/16/nat6.htm

He said the PTI leader’s arrest was a conspiracy which had harmed the APDM. He said that all APDM parties, minus Jamaat-i-Islami, would continue their struggle for the restoration of the Constitution, lifting of emergency, independence of judiciary and unity of opposition against the government.

Freedom doesn’t come easy By Ayaz Amir

This brings me to Imran Khan’s manhandling at the Punjab University, Lahore, by activists of the Islami Jamiat-i-Tulaba, the student wing of the Jamaat-i-Islami. Not only was he prevented from holding a demonstration and courting arrest, as he had intended, but he was seized and confined in one of the departments before being handed over to the police. Words fail me to describe this shameful incident.

But Imran has not been diminished by it. He continues to stand tall. He is a brave man who has showed great courage during the post-martial law period. It is the Jamiat and its parent body, the Jamaat, which look small. Manhandling one of the few national heroes we have and then handing him over to the police: can anything be more despicable?

But even in evil there can be some good. If May 12 exposed the true face of the MQM, Nov 14 has revealed the ugly face of the Jamiat and the Jamaat. Qazi Hussein Ahmed’s populist posturing had led many simpleminded souls to believe that the Jamaat had changed its spots. The incident with Imran dispels such illusions. The Jamaat remains wedded to an ideology suspiciously close to fascism, (which makes one wonder about the uses to which Islam has been put in this country). From Gen Yahya onwards it has worked as a handmaiden of our spook agencies, the dark forces who have always undermined democracy. As a matter of policy its student wing has practiced unabashed violence to promote its political ends. Indeed, when the definitive history of the collapse of Pakistani education is written, the Jamiat’s ‘danda-bardar’ (baton-wielding) tactics will figure prominently in it.

THE manner in which one of General Musharraf’s most vocal critics, Imran Khan, was arrested on Wednesday is highly questionable. Mr Khan, who escaped his home after being detained right after the emergency was imposed, came to Punjab University on Wednesday to
mobilise students against the emergency. However, students of the Islami Jamiat-i-Tulaba, the student wing of the Jamaat-i-Islami

Background of Jamat-e-Islami [the party whose student wing IJT helped the authorities to arrest Imran Khan]

Jamat-e-Islami' s and its Terror wing IJT's history is riddled with such brute, nscrupulous and fascist tactics even during the life of its so-called Pious Founder Maudoodi:

“The training and tactics that Jamat-e-Islami impart to their disciples {particularly during General Zia regime} is as under:

With brainwashing on the one hand and erosion of academic freedom on the other, the campuses (once temples of learning and enlightenment) have been turned into centres of rowdyism and repositories of deadly weapon. Students belonging to various schools of religious thought, regional and ethnic groups, particularly the Islami Jamiat-e-Tulba (the student wing of Jamat-e-Islami) , have played havoc with educational institutions.

Professors were another target of the victimization carried out in this period. Members of the IJT launched a concerted campaign against professors known for their liberal views. In Punjab University, particularly, many professors were forced to resign, others were sacked. The situation was no different in the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, which had in the 70s attracted many brilliant Pakistanis who were teaching abroad. As the harassment became unbearable, most of these professors went back. To what extent fundamentalists blocked scientific knowledge can be assessed by one incident at the Karachi University, where a zoology lecturer was stopped from teaching Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Similar incidents occurred frequently in the philosophy and the economics department. The situation has worsened wit the passage of time. During that period, a policy of appeasement towards the IJT made matter worse. Guns boomed at the Karachi University Campus for the first time in 1979 when, according to Imran Shirvanee, Raja Javed, a supporter of IJT, used a sten gun ‘to tackle the opposition.’ When the pen and free expression are throttled, the only means open to tackle opposition is a firearm. At that time, the IJT was the ruling party in Karachi University politics with Hussain Haqqani, Raja Javed was his close aide.

Hussain Haqqani nowadays is a scholar par excellence and a fellow scholar in Carnegie Endowment for Peace and Development, USA {whereas he was the first student who brought Terrorism / firearms and deadly weapons in Karachi’s student politics, so much for the US WAR ON TERROR}. His favourite hobby nowadays is to write against General Musharraf and that is the hobby of all those journalists who were once with the Establishment but today the priorities of establishment are changed. Haqqani is a man of many roles. The former Far Eastern Economic Review correspondent was the media advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif when Benazir Bhutto was at the centre {1988-1990}. He switched to serve caretaker Prime Minister Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi in 1990, and then switched back again to serve Sharif when he was elected Prime Minister. In 1992, he was sent to Sri Lanka as Pakistan’s High Commissioner. On the eve of Nawaz Sharif’s dismissal on 18 April 1993, he jumped the sinking ship and joined President Ghulam Ishaq Khan bandwagon. Immediately, he was rewarded by being made a special assistant to the caretaker Prime Minister Mir Balakh Sher Mazari with the rank of Minister of State. Asked by BBC if he now deserved a mention in the Guinness Book of Records for switching loyalties so often, his reply was classic: I was always with the President.’”

The Web of Censorship by late. Zamir Niazi published by Oxford University Press.

The Jamat Islami-Army nexus has been a part of our history, either marginally as under Ayub Khan or covertly as under Yahya Khan or naked and deeply written into the system as under Ziaul Haq. Ayub's secularism as part of the military culture of British Indian Army was like an open book without any fine print. Even the prefix Islamic attaching to the Republic of Pakistan was dropped until restored under the writ of superior judiciary. That continued to be the case until the fateful day of 1965 when India attacked Pakistan along the international border, with Lahore as its principal target. Even in his first address to the nation within hours of the Indian invasion, Ayub went on to recite the 'Kalama-i-Tayyaba' in a stirring, emotion-choked voice.

His subsequent meeting with religious parties - mainly the Jamaat-i-Islami under Maulana 'Abul 'Ala Maududi - marked the beginning of the military-mullah nexus. Yahya would not have much to do with things spiritual until the induction of retired Maj.-Gen. Sher Ali Khan into his cabinet as minister in-charge of information and national affairs. He initiated Yahya into ideological lore and saddled him with the mission of protecting the 'ideology of Pakistan and the glory of Islam'. Yahya's intelligence chief, Major-(later
Lieut.) Gen. Muhammad Akbar Khan made no secret of his close liaison with the Jamaat-i-Islami especially in respect of its pro-active role in East Pakistan. The Jamaat was to go even to the extent of certifying Yahya's draft constitution as Islamic. The draft was
authored by Justice A.R. Cornelius, Yahya's law minister.

It is generally believed that the US wanted Zoulfiqar Ali Bhutto to be removed from the political scene of Pakistan mainly on two accounts. First, for the nuclear policy that he framed and tried to relentlessly pursue and secondly, from apprehensions that ZAB was influencing the countries. He posed a serious challenge to the US interests in the region. “Tally-ho. Kill Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, “ yelled the self-proclaimed policemen of the world. During August 1976, Amercian Secretary of States, Dr. Henry Kissinger had warned Bhutto, “We will make a horrible example of you,” adding menacingly, “When the railroad is coming, you get out of the way.”

The American had successfully cultivated a number of well-placed bureaucrats, PPP stalwarts and ministers who wittingly or inadvertently served as the US agents of influence. American diplomats and CIA operators not only got most of the ‘inside’ information from these ‘gentlemen’ but also utilized their good offices to ‘convey’ whatever they wanted to feed or plant. Some officers from USMAAG had also made meaningful ingresses in the General Headquarters and not only gathered the thinking in the Services Headquarters but would also drop a ‘suggestion’ here and there. Some of the US Diplomats had established direct contacts with a number of PNA leaders whom they continued to aid, support and give day-to-day line of action.

A number of US diplomats were not only actively involved but also directed the operations against Bhutto. Jan M. Gibney, Political Officer, US Consulate General, Lahore, duly assisted by a couple of Pakistanis, was extremely active and would frequently visit a number of Politicians Maulana Maudoodi of Jamat-e-Islami and Maulan Obaidullah Anwar, Jamiat-e-Ulmai- Islam of Sheranwala Gate, Lahore. Apart from holding meetings, a wireless network had been established between the USIS-US Consulate General – Maulana Maudoodi’s residence. It was Gibney who had telephoned and conveyed to Howard B. Schaffer, Chief of Political Affairs, US Embassy, Islamabad, that notorious sentence, “The party is over. Merchandise has gone.”

The US had also released PL-480 funds. Over night some Jamat-e-Islami workers were seen with pockets full of money and spending lavishly. A number of businessmen, particularly those, who had suffered due to ZAB’s economic and industrial policies, had also been prompted to contribute towards the PNA funds. As there were no party accounts being maintained as such, the contributions were received personally by some of the leaders. Justice (Retd.) Kaikaus and Rafiq Ahmed Bajwa are among those who are alleged to have made millions.

PROFILES OF INTELLIGENCE by Brigadier Syed A. I. Tirmazi, SI (M).

Zia’s orphans Qazi Hussain’s election as Amir of the Jamaat-i-Islami marked a generational shift in an organization that had remained under the control of its founder Maulana Maudoodi and his deputy, Mian Tufail, since its origin in 1941. Where the JUI was populist, had support in the villages and collaborated with the Left, the JI was built on the Leninist-cadre model. Its recruits were literate and carefully vetted, most of them students from urban petty-bourgeois backgrounds. Many had been tested in the campus struggles of the sixties and seventies. During the semi insurrection of 1968–69 that had toppled the Ayub dictatorship, the Left had dominated the action committees that led the fight. To support the JI in those days required a real commitment to the cause. Its motto: religion is our politics and politics our religion. Qazi Hussain, a leader of the JI student faction at Islamia College in Peshawar, spent his formative years in battles—some of them physical—against the Left. He joined the parent body in 1970, when the JI’s branch in East Pakistan collaborated fully with the Army in its attempt to destroy the Bengali nation. Their cadres in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet compiled lists of ‘undesirables’ for military intelligence, which were then used to eliminate the opposition. ‘Chairman Mao supports us, not you’, was a taunt they regularly hurled at the Bengali Left of the time. China and the US both supported the Pakistan Army’s brutal assault on its own people, aimed at nullifying the dramatic 1970 election victory by the Bengali-nationalist Awami League. The Army’s onslaught backfired badly.

Bangladesh is the direct outcome of a military refusal to recognize the will of the electorate. In the circumstances, the Army’s self-image as the only institution that holds the country together is somewhat grotesque. The JI’s role in the 1971 break up of Pakistan had the effect of drawing it closer to the intelligence apparatuses of the rump state. When Zia seized power six years later and joined the US jihad in Afghanistan, the JI became the main ideological prop of the military regime. Qazi Hussain defended the new turn; his skills were noted and he began his rise through the JI apparatus. A former geography lecturer, he now abandoned the low-paid chores of the academy to open a Popular Medical Store in Peshawar’s Soekarno Square. The shop was not just an informal meeting place for local JI cadres but a successful commercial operation, soon to be joined by a Popular Medical Laboratory and a Popular X-Ray Clinic. It now became clear that he also aspired to a more popular Jamaat-i-Islami. Hussein knew that it was not easy for a vanguard party that had always prided itself on its elite character to re-brand and market itself in a more accessible style; in politics, as in business, there is always an element of risk when you decide to expand. His decision to join the 2002 Islamist alliance must have been as carefully calculated as the trim of his pure-white regulation beard (in marked contrast to the wilder salt-and-pepper variety sported by Maulana Diesel). Incapable of serious opposition to either Musharraf or his Washington backers, the MMA concentrates its fire against women.

It has declared its intention to ban cable-TV channels and co-education, and to institute the shari‘a in the provinces under its control. Given the disaster that befell a more extreme version of this programme in Afghanistan, this could be mere rhetoric designed to keep their followers inebriated while embarrassing the occupant of President’s House. The MMA’s triumph may or may not have been aided by some independent campaigning from sections of the ISI but it has undoubtedly put pressure on. These medical facilities undoubtedly made a handsome profit, but they also served a useful political function. The poor were sometimes provided with free medicines and treatment, which they naturally identified with the JI. In Cairo last year, an Islamist parliamentarian boasted of how his organization controlled the leadership of the doctors’ union. We were conversing in his clinic, where a majority of those waiting to see him were the Cairene poor. Like some sections of the Latin American church, these Islamists try to provide a substitute
for the dismantled welfare functions of the state. The effects are limited, but their psychological impact in the poor quarters should not be underestimated. When Musharraf joined the ‘war on terror’; some of the diehard Sunni terrorists responsible for appalling
atrocities against minority Shia and Christian communities had already been freed before the election. More striking was the MMA’s success, in November 2002, in dragooning virtually the entire National Assembly—there were two exceptions—to observe a minute’s silence in memory of the ‘martyred Aimal Kansi’, whose body had been returned to Pakistan after his execution in a US Federal penitentiary for the murder of two CIA officials in Langley, Virginia in 1993.15 Earlier, some 70,000 people had attended Kansi’s funeral prayers in Quetta, also organized by the MMA. Why did the National Assembly agree to mourn him? Pakistan has not outlawed capital punishment, so it could hardly be seen as a liberal protest. The simple answer is that the MMA’s success has worried its opponents and they are hoping to defeat the Islamists on their own ground. Bhutto père made a similar error in the seventies and paid the price.

Dear Moderators,

Let me give you a background of this Anarchic Political Islamic Perverts and its Spiritual God Fathers {who basically killed all the Bhuttos

Who Killed Bhuttos?

http://chagataikhan.blogspot.com/2008/10/who-killed-bhuttos.html

and I hope [if you can] you would turn all these posts in single post to expose these Jamatis and Religious Elements once and for all.

The series of assassinations in Former East Pakistan [now Bangladesh] was started from 1969 when a Shams Duaa-Haa, professor of Chemistry in Rajshahi University, was assassinated in daylight. Let me explain what the Al-Badar and Al-Shams were and are? Al-Badar was and is militant wing of Jamait Islami and a paramilitary force formed in Bangladesh in 1971 by General Yahya INC. Al-Badar forget that what the real Jihad is ? And fight against the Muslims in Bangladesh, Bengalis use to call Al-Badar as "Butcher of Bangladesh." The Al Badar was assigned a variety of combat and non-combat tasks including taking part in the operations, spying against Bengali Intellectuals, interrogation, working as the guides for Tikka Khan and Niazi, assassination, detecting and killing Bengali intellectuals.

The force was composed of madrassah students-teachers, supporters of Muslim League and Jamait Islami. History tell us that killings which began on 25 March 1971 and sparked the Bangladesh Liberation War and also led to the deaths of at least 26,000 people as admitted by Pakistan on one hand (by the Hamoodur Rahman Commission) and 3,000,000 by Bangladesh on the other hand, (From 1972 to 1975 the first post-war prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, mentioned on several occasions that at least three million died).

Doctor Fazl Rabbi was an eye specialist; he was kidnapped by Al-Badar. Next day his body was found from a drainage line. His both eyes were vanished and there were marks of switchblade. “What should we think about such peccadilloes?”

Butcher of Bangladesh I mean the ex-militants of Al-Badar are settled in UK and other European countries and they are appointed as cleric of mosques there. And I want to remind the readers that too, “Jamait Islami’s former leader Maulana Modudi had rejected the theory of Pakistan but since 1947, when Pakistan came into being, it is claimed by the leaders of Jamat Islami that they are playing leading role of toady.

Heritage of Khomeini and Mawdudi is as under:

Khomeini once made a statement which was published in the Tehran times (Kitaab be Noujawanaan - P8) that if he conquers Madina Munawwarah, he will remove the two idols (Hadhrat Abu Bakr and Hadhrat Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) besides Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him). I am certain that no believer will accept such a statement against the great luminaries of Islam. Are we then to condemn only Khomeini and condone Mawdudi knowing well that Mawdudi was a close friend of Khomeini and was sympathetic to his course. In a book titled, 'Two brothers - Maududi and Khomeini' page 129, the following statement of Dr Ahmad Farouk Maududi (son of Abul-A'ala Maududi) was published in Roz Naame, Lahore - 29 September 1979, "Allama Khomeini had a very old and close relationship with Abba Jaan (father). Aayaatullah Khomeini translated his (fathers) books in Farsi and included it as a subject in Qum. Allama Khomeini met my father in 1963 during Hajj and my father's wish was to create a revolutionary in Pakistan similar to Iran. He was concerned about the success of the Iranian revolution till his last breath.'

Will Imran Khan provide insaf to women in Swat:

Female shoppers still elusive in Swat

By Iqbal Khattak

MINGORA: It has been more than a month since the government and the Tehreek Nifaz-e-Shariat Muhammadi (TNSM) signed a peace deal in Swat but the shopkeepers at Cheena Market, once the busiest in Mingora city, are still waiting for female shoppers.

The Swat-based Taliban had banned females from going to markets and schools for education. However, girls are back in schools after Taliban leader Fazlullah agreed to a peace bid by his father-in-law, TNSM’s chief Sufi Muhammad but women are still avoiding going to bazaars.

“Business has still not returned to normal despite a marked change in the situation,” a shopkeeper, Ikramullah Khan, told Daily Times.

The reason for women staying away from the once popular place is obvious – threats from the Taliban.

On March 8, a bearded man, who the shopkeepers believed to be a Taliban, pulled out a dagger in a shop and said, “Who wants to be beheaded first?”

The incident was enough to frighten the women and prevent them from going to the markets.

“I used to make a good profit when the Taliban had not banned women from going to markets,” a shopkeeper said.

Bakht Rawan, who has spent 15 years in Saudi Arabia as a salesman at a cosmetic shop, said he could not believe that the Taliban had disallowed women from going to the bazaars.

“If shopping by women was forbidden in Islam, Saudi men would not have allowed their women to go to bazaars. I wonder why these (Taliban) people are offering a new brand of Islam to the people of Swat,” Rawan told Daily Times.

Earlier in January, Taliban had banned women from markets in Mingora. The Taliban have ordered the killing of women seen in market areas.

“Women are not allowed in this market,” banners displayed in a city’s market, once called ‘Women’s Market’, had read. Following the ban, shopkeepers dealing in women’s garments and cosmetics had complained about plummeting sales and disappearance of women customers. They had said that they could not even earn enough to pay the rent and electricity charges of their.

There have been reports of Taliban “compensating” shopkeepers for the loss they have suffered because of the ban on women shoppers. “The rent of each shop has been reduced by Rs 400 after the Taliban forced the market owners to slash the rent to help us make up for the loss because of the slump in business due to the ban on shopping by women,” Bakht said.

Despite being a remote area, Mingora city was once known for offering best medical facilities. However, many of them, especially female doctors opted to go to other cities following threats from the Taliban.
