From Zion Hamid to Wali Azmat to Insaaf-e-Khan: The Pakistani extras of conspiracy theory

Extra! Extra!
By Nadeem F. Paracha

19 November 2009

Islamabad, November 18: Famous anti-India TV personality, Zion Hamid, was caught yesterday watching Shakuntali, a popular Indian TV soap opera. The discovery was made by one of his fans who Hamid thought was his milkman.

When Hamid opened his door, the fan heard and saw the TV in the background where episode No. 5, 904 of Shakuntali was running. Talking to this reporter, the fan said that he first thought it was a conspiracy, but after noticing the genuine red cap of Hamid, he was astonished.

Shaken, the fan, 23-year-old Abdul Karim, said: ‘I couldn’t believe it! What would Muhammad Bin Qasim think when he gets to hear about this?’

When told by this reporter that Qasim died hundreds of years ago, the fan accused him and his newspaper for working for Blackwater.

‘What you think you fool Mossad, CIA, Raw agent Qasim alive in our minds, hearts and lungs so oh you shut up!’ he added.

Talking to the media after the episode, Hamid accepted that he sometimes watches Indian soaps and that even though he is of the opinion that Hindus are paleed (dirty), there is no harm in watching them on TV because they can’t touch you and can’t cast their shadow over you.

He added that he also watches Indian soaps to decode the hidden plots of the Hindus to destroy Pakistan and Islam.

‘It was by decoding the dialogue of one such Indian TV soap that I was able to discover that the Mumbai attacks were actually planned and executed by Raw and Mossad,’ he explained.

He also said that he predicted the 9/11 attacks as a Zionist conspiracy back in 1996 by watching Dil Walay Dullaniya Lay Jain Gey on his VCD player over and over again.

‘It’s all there,’ he claimed. ‘And the songs aren’t all that bad either.’

Hamid was surrounded by a vocal group of fans at the press conference.

One Barkat Ali told the reporters: ‘What this happening? Attacking great man Zion, oh so brilliant genius zindabad, zindabad you kafir Western conspiracy US agent traitors fool, fool, fool!’

Another, Sharmeen Khan, a 25-year-old university student added: ‘What this nonsense of democracy because it only Hindu, American, Zionist, Papua New Guinnean plot to destroy beloved Pakistian zindabad, zindabad, zindabad!’

Kamran Ghani, a seven-month-old toddler also addressed the press conference. He said, ‘Goo goo gagagaga goo goo … burp!’

The fans then lifted Hamid on their shoulders and carried him to a nearby McDonald’s outlet where they all chanted slogans like ‘Amreeka ki ghulami namazoor’ over a couple of Big Macs, large Cokes and a romantic song sung by Wali Azmat called, ‘I hate Jews Yea, Yea, Yea,’ a song from Azmat’s forthcoming album, ‘Zionists ate my Homework.’

The album is dedicated to all the Taliban who died in American drone attacks. When asked why didn’t he also dedicate the album to all those who’ve died from Taliban’s suicide attacks, Azmat said, that there were no suicide bomb attacks in Pakistan and that all those people we see slaughtered and dismembered on our TV screens actually died from dengue fever. When asked how he can prove this, he said that one should watch the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

‘It’s all there,’ he claimed. ‘And the chicks aren’t all that bad either.’

Meanwhile in Lahore, Tehrik-e-Imran chief, Insaaf-e-Khan lauded Zion Hamid’s efforts for decoding vital truths about Hindu conspiracies from Indian soap operas.

Talking to a group of rabid rightwing columnists at his residence, the great Khan said that Pakistan was in great danger from all kinds of plots being hatched by its enemies, especially Asif Zardari Bhutto Zardari Bhutto, Bilawal Zardari Bhutto Zardari, and the ghost of late Benazir Bhutto.

‘This government is sucking the blood of poor Pakistanis,’ he told the rabid rightwing communists all of whom then started to sing the national anthem in unison.

‘This government has sold Pakistan’s strategic and political interests to America!’ Khan added, to which the rabid rightwing columnists started burning George Washington and Abraham Lincoln’s effigies.

Praising the columnists’ bravery, Khan promised them to meet again after he returned from New York where he will undergo a cheekbone operation.

The columnists informed him that they too will be in New York for sightseeing, except for one, who got up and started burning Henry Truman’s effigy. He was the one who failed to secure an American visa.

Khan termed this to be racial discrimination and a CIA conspiracy.

Later in the day, the issue was discussed on a famous TV talk show on a local news channel.

Participating in the show were the incensed columnist, a rabid rightwing reporter, a PPP Minster, and a woman in a burqa.

‘This is an outrage!’ said the reporter. ‘Blackwater is behind this,’ he announced.

When asked how he knew, he picked up a Class One children’s nursery rhymes book and claimed: ‘It’s all here. And the rhymes aren’t all that bad either.’

The PPP Minister, Rehman Malika Zardari Bhutto Zardari, promised that his government will look into the issue, to which the reporter landed a swift punch on Malika’s face.

When Malika’s bodyguards tried to stop the reporter, the talk show’s host accused the government of curbing the freedom of the press.

‘This is an outrage!’ he said. ‘I implore the Army to intervene, overthrow this incompetent government and impose martial law!’

Mr. Malika apologised and started to land punches on his own face saying that the government too believed in the freedom of the press.

This made the reporter very happy who asked Malika to raid book stores and confiscate all secular literature because solutions to Pakistan’s problems lie in jihadi literature.

‘It’s all there!’ he claimed. ‘And the topics aren’t all that bad either.’

Turning to the woman in a burqa, the show’s host asked if she agreed.

‘The real problem lies in women wearing jeans,’ she said.

The host asked her to elaborate, to which she said: ‘The real problem is in women wearing jeans.’

‘Yes, but can you please elaborate?’ asked the host.

‘The real problem lies in women wearing jeans!’ she said again.

‘Please elaborate,’ the host insisted.

‘But that’s all I was asked to say,’ she said.

‘By whom?’ inquired the host.

‘By you!’ she said.

‘This is an outrage!’ said Mr. Malika, and in response, the host punched him and proceeded to burn an American flag. He burned half of it and announced that the other half will be burnt later because he had to catch a flight.

‘To where?’ asked Mr. Malika.

‘California,’ said the host. ‘I have to attend my son’s graduation ceremony.’

The Zionist prism of Zaid Hamid and Ahmed Quraishi

It's the stupidity, stupid

Thursday, November 19, 2009
Zafar Khalid Farooq

Whilst it is common to hear, or read, the unenlightened ramblings of various 'experts' in the media these days, it's strange to find examples of anti-intellectualism in a bookshop. One would hope that these establishments would attract people interested in expanding their minds and developing critical thinking. But, not so in Pakistan.

I was in Liberty Books when I spied a comment card nestling inside the Perspex comment box. The angry opinion read as follows: "'Mother of God' by Miri Rubin. I don't think that this book should be sold or displayed in a prestigious store like yours. You have a social responsibility."

Yes, they do have a social (and financial) responsibility to sell books. What could be so odious about this book that it could produce such an angry tirade, I wondered? So I did what any normal person would do, I immediately asked for a copy of the book. Sadly, it had sold out. However, a quick Google search showed that this book was a history of the perceptions of Mary, mother of Jesus, in European societies from the Middle Ages to the 21st century, and how these perceptions varied from country to country. Different countries used the role of Mary in differing ways to make sense of a range of human experience -- virginity, motherhood, family life, poverty and humility. What aspects these societies focused on in their representation of Mary, in turn, reflected the broader concerns of that society.

It sounded like a serious and interesting work. So what could have caused someone to question the book store's social responsibility for carrying it? In fact, wasn't it being socially responsible by offering this book for public consumption? Then it struck me. It was the title: Mother of God. That had been the objection. They had simply disliked the association of mother with God. Now you and I may not believe that Mary was the mother of God, and probably the Jewish sounding author, Miri Rubin, doesn't believe she is either, but that's not the point. This was a serious historical study of the continuing evolution of Mary in those Christian societies where they consider her the mother of God.

Would it be fair for a western bookshop to ban a biography on the Prophet (PBUH) called The Last Prophet? Of course not. Muslims would be rightly angry. So too would many non-Muslims be upset, for they would be interested in a scholarly work on the Prophet (PBUH). So why do we Muslims demand tolerance and plurality of beliefs when it comes to the west, but become intolerant when it comes to our societies?

Perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise to see this reaction in a bookshop. After all, we are a nation that kowtows to the ignorant and plain stupid. Yes, let's revel in our ignorance. We are a nation where our city centres are inundated with jewelry and clothes shops, but lack a single decent Urdu bookshop. We are a nation whose middle class, although in possession of a disposable income, will only have one book in their house -- and that too on a very high shelf, and often unread. Bigotry prospers over intellectual rigour, innuendo over fact, and conspiracy theory over credible reporting.

After all we have become a nation where a national newspaper can endanger the life of a Wall Street Journal journalist, Matthew Rosenberg, by claiming that he is an Israeli agent, an American agent, and a contractor for Blackwater. Either he is a busy man, or this is bunkum. The report in the newspaper provided no credible sources.

We are a nation that unquestionably swallows the unsubstantiated rants of Zaid Hamid, Ahmed Quraishi and their ilk. Zaid Hamid sees the world through a Zionist prism, while I advise you to check out ahmedquraishi.com to check out the quality of his 'photo journalism'.

We are a nation where pop stars like Ali Azmat believe that "we know for a fact that all this turbulation (not a world, Ali) in Pakistan it's not us, but outside hand" and who says that the Taliban is not responsible for blowing up 200 girls schools, but it's the work of an unidentified foreign hand. Show me the evidence, Ali? Where are the 'facts' you talk about?

Ironically, it is these very people who hark back the loudest, and bemoan the most, the loss of the Islamic world's glory days -- when Muslims were pioneers at the forefront of scientific, architectural, astronomical, and mathematical advances in the world. But you only can be pioneers when using knowledge, reason, logic and a factually supporting argument. The Taj Mahal was not built on a conspiracy theory or by obtaining a forged website doctoral degree. Yet, we listen to and follow the stupid?

Please note, I am not talking about education here. The stupid are often so called 'educated' people. Nor am I attacking right-wing commentators, per se. There are some who use the supporting evidence to reach a conclusion that could be described as right wing, which is perfectly acceptable. No, I am attacking those who make accusations using the flimsiest evidence, that's if they provide evidence at all, to back their claims. A mere cursory look at the 'proof' and it quickly disintegrates upon inspection. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, indeed.

How's this for a conspiracy theory: Perhaps, the Jews, Americans and Indians are funding all these cranks, right-wing conspiracy theorists, hyper nationalist and loonies that populate the airwaves in Pakistan. By listening to their claptrap and proportioning blame to hidden hands, the Pakistani people remain in perpetual denial about the encroaching problems in their country, therefore causing further erosion of the state. Maybe, THIS IS the evil Zionist, Capitalist, Hindu plot to destroy Pakistan. They are keeping us dumb and stupid. Pappu yaar, have you thought about that?

International tolerance day

Posted by: Jarri Mirza
Guest blog: Humza Ikram

Today world is celebrating International tolerance day but sadly Pakistani society is getting more and more intolerant. Our right wing media is spreading a lot of hatred in our society and the beauty of our pluralistic society is now sadly a memory of the past. One of my young cousins ,who is an avid Zaid Hamid viewer, has sent me a picture of a map showing India to be a part of Pakistan. He urged me to make it my face book display picture. The following is a post by Nadeem Paracha highlighting the importance of tolerance in social life. Also, checkout the following video and see how Zaid Hamid is spreading hatred towards Hindus. I'm wondering how insecure Hindu community living in Sindh might feel in their own country.

Blow Daddy

By Nadeem Paracha

Daddy?
Yes, son.
Are we going to have a war with India?
Perhaps.
Oh, goody. We will thrash them, right? Like we did in 1857!
It wasn't in 1857, son.
Oh, okay. But whom did we thrash in 1857?
The British, son …
And the Hindus too, right?
Well …
Did Quied-e-Azam fight in that war along
with Muhammad bin Qasim and Imran Khan?
No, son. The Quied and Imran were born much later and Muhammad bin Qasim died many years before.
Then who ruled Pakistan in those days?
There was no Pakistan in those days, son.
But there was always a Pakistan! It has been there for 5000 years!
Whom have you been talking to, son?
No one. I've just been watching TV.
It figures.
Daddy, why are all these people against us Arabs?
Arabs? But we aren't Arabs, son.
Of course we are because our ancestors were Arabs!
No, son. Our ancestors were sub-continental.
Sub-what?
Never mind. You seem to like wars, son.
Yes. I like to watch them on TV.
But real wars are fought outside the TV, son.
Really? How is that possible? What sort of a war is that?
Never mind.
Daddy you look worried.
Of course, I am, you little warmongering punk!
Daddy. Why are you scolding me?
Because TV is talking rot and so are you!
Daddy, are you turning into a Hindu?
No!
Daddy, have you become a kafir?
Keep quiet! No more TV for you! Go watch a movie on the DVD player, or listen to a CD.
Can't do that.
But we have so many DVDs and CDs, son.
Not any more.
What do you mean?
I burned them all.
What?!
I burned them all.
I heard that! But why?
They spread obscenity.
Oh, God. Son, go do your homework. What happened to that science project you were working on?
It's almost complete.
Good boy. What are you making?
A bomb.
What?!
A bomb.
I heard that! But why?
Because I am a true Muslim mujahid who hates America.
But only last week you wanted to go to Disney Land.
That's different.
How come?
Mickey Mouse is a Muslim.
No he isn't.
Is so. He converted when he heard the azaan on the moon.
On the moon?
Yes. Because the Earth is flat and …
What??
The Earth is …
I heard that!
Daddy, do you want to see my science project, or not?
Gosh, that bomb? But your science teacher will fail you.
No she wont.
Really …?
Yes. I plan to blow her up as well.
God, what is wrong with you? Go call your mother!
She can't come.
Why not?
I've locked her in the kitchen.
But what for?
A woman's place is in the kitchen. I will not let her out until she starts wearing a hijab!
But she's your mother!
No. She's a woman!
So?
So she should be hidden.
Hidden from whom?
You, me, the whole world and Tony.
Tony?
Yes, Tony.
But Tony's a cat.
Yes. But he's a male cat.
Son, have you gone mad?
No. By the way, I've made sure Kitto starts wearing a hijab as well.
Kitto?
Yes, Kittto.
But Kitto's also a cat!
Yes. But a female cat.
But she'll suffocate.
Oh, she's already dead.
What?
She's already dead.
I heard that! But how?
I buried her alive.
You what??
Yes. To avenge Tony's honor. But now I will behead Tony.
But why?
To save mom's honor!
Oh, God!
Don't say that. Always say Allah Hafiz instead of Khuda Hafiz.
What's the difference?
Daddy, do you want to be beheaded too?
No!
Do you want to be stoned to death?
No!
Do you want to be flogged?
No!
Do you want to get your arms chopped off?
No!
Then stop asking stupid questions. By the way, I won't call you daddy anymore.
What will you call me then?
Whatever is Arabic for daddy.
I don't know any Arabic, son.
That's because you are a kafir.
Who the heck are you to tell me who I am, you little fascist twit!
What's a fascist?
An irrational, violent, self-righteous mad man!
WAAAAAAA!!
Why are you crying?
You scolded me.
Okay, I'm sorry. You have to be tolerant and rational, son. Now be a good boy and go read a book instead of watching TV.
I have no books.
Of course, you do. I bought you so many books.
I burned them all.
What?!
I burned them all.
I heard that! But why?!
They were all in English.
So?
Christians speak English.
But we are speaking English as well, aren't we?
WAAAAAAAAAAAA …!!
What now?
Zionists made me forget Arabic!
But you never knew any Arabic, son.
WAAAA … yes I did until you and mommy gave me polio drops … WAAAA …
Okay, tell me, can you do me a favor?
Sure, dad. (*sniff*).
Can you blow up something for me?
Oh, goody! Of course, dad. What should I blow? A CD shop, a hotel, a school …?
No, no, something a lot more sinister.
Mom?
No, no …
What then?
The TV set!
What?!
Blow the TV Set.
I heard that! But why?
Just do it!
I see. Dad?
Yes.
You're so unconstitutional.

Who is next in Ahmed Quarishi and Zaid Hamid's traitors list ?

By: Jarri Mirza
Contribution by guest blogger : Humza Ikram

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist; Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speakout—because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me.

This famous quote of German humanist is a reflection of current Pakistan society where conspiracy theorist are coming on main stream television and tabloid and calls anybody traitor and even worse an CIA agent or Jewish spy and nobody is realizing this terrible situation . its a time we should rise to the occasion before we are also called traitor in our own country.

The whole conspiracy theorist game is a very dangerous game which are society is become hostage . and slowly logic, wisdom and facts are made irrelevant.and the most disasters thing is the idea of calling everybody a "Traitor " who wants to research and present a real story .

PPP loyalists have a history of being labeled as the traitor and foreign agent right from the famous Fehmida Riaz (a gifted writer )who was culture advisor to BB and she was actually included in the charge shit against BB's first government.today the whole naming people TRAITOR ,who have opionion dfferent then your opinion is on all time high and the latest victim is Pakistan Ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani and now these conspiracy theorites have gone one step a head . Ahmed Quarishi claims people like Asma jehanghir to be an jews agent which is a cheap and tasteless statement. let us as analyze how these conspiracy theorist works !

HOW TO BE A CONSPIRACY THEORIST

Key to successes

Make as many conspiracy theories as possible as you can, don’t think when at work as they say in Hollywood keep it simple baby!
Call “Traitor” as many people as you can.(it works exponentially)
If possible make it to a music channel so you trap as many young people as possible in your ugly propaganda and nonsense (youth provide cult following).

In case of Zaid Hamid and Ahmed Quarishi both works for a music channel of jang group AAG
(Dunia main bhi aag; aakhirat main bhi aag)

Have a certain mystique appearance. And try to include religion into your debate to get additional legitimacy in your arguments.
Spread hatred, it sells like hot cakes !

The Ultimate achievers: The duo of Zaid Hamid and Ahmed Quarishi

Above is the video of Zaid Hamid and Nadeem Farooq Paracha . Here Paracha is talking about the dangers of conspiracies theories.

AHMED QUARISH HAS RECENT STARTED SERIES OF FLITHY PROPAGANDA AGAINST AMBASSADOR TO US HUSSAIN HAQQANI .JUST LIKE PARACHA SAID WITH LITTLE RESEARCH WE CAN PROVE HIS PROGANDA HAS NO WEIGHT WITH LITTLE RESEARCH.LET US EXAMINE HIS LATEST ARTICLE.

Ahmed Quarishi's recent article against Ambasador to US Hussain Haqqani is a clear case of Yellow Journalism , his article why Hussain Haqqani have only sued Pakistani Newspaper and not the American magazine in my opinion if he had taking his daily dose of sanity he would not had dare to wrote this . to write on diplomatic constraint one has to know diplomatic norms , firstly the question arises can a Ambassador of a guest country can sue a newspaper of a host country . If it can ,the second question arises is that a good precedent.

To analyze this let us examine the recent episode of Shireen Mizari and American embassy in Islamabad.in that eposide shireen Mizari could not provide the grounds on which she wrote the story and thus THENEWS had to apologies . imagine had american embassy had sued the Pakistani newss paper for a reason that they had published something which had no grounds what would happened then?
hussain haqqani is working under a very difficult situation in a US and it was the toughest time of our country's history , just year ago we were about to declared as a brankupt economy. there were hardrly any money left in our foreign reserve to buy fuel for next few months .we have to negotiate witht the west to help our dying economy you like it or not . and all the financial instituation are goes through capitol hill and you like it or not with the creative diplomacy Hussain Haqqani helped the government of Pakistan to reach an agreement with IMF bailout plan. A bailout package which is first of its kind that was presented in the parliment by the ruling party which has a historic significance in our domestic politics also since it was 6th IMF bailout package in our country's history but first to be presented in the parliment..you like or dislike someone way of working is a very subjective matter but by calling someone tratior or writing stories like Hussin Haqqani will public pakistan national secrets is tasteless staements and its shows we as nation are only willing to listen easy answer .
below is the story which was picked by the late Khalid Hasan regarding Hussain Haqqani
.

Haqqani a ‘hero of Pakistan’s struggle for democracy’

By Khalid Hasan

WASHINGTON: “Ambassador Haqqani is a hero of Pakistan’s struggle for democracy,” according to Bruce Riedel, who advises Obama on Pakistan and who is likely to be appointed deputy national security adviser. “Haqqani’s message,” he added, “is one that the senator (Barack Obama) understands very well.” A front page report in the Boston Globe on Monday featuring the Pakistani ambassador, highlights the efforts he has been making to obtain the quick cash injections Pakistan needs to avoid default on its repayments and a possible economic meltdown. Haqqani, notes the report, is charged with the almost impossible task of trying to secure more funding from the already depleted coffers of the US government. “Haqqani has been an Islamic activist, a war correspondent, a savvy politician, a beloved professor, and an aide to two rival Pakistani prime ministers.” Describing him as an optimist who believes that he will get his way against the odds, the report adds that Haqqani “must believe that the newly elected government he represents can clean up corruption, defeat a Taliban insurgency, survive a major financial crisis, and improve relations with the United States.” According to the Boston Globe, “Haqqani faces the task of rebuilding both the Pakistani image in the United States, and the US image in Pakistan, which has been tainted by the Bush administration’s association with Musharraf. ‘I’m the man in the middle,’ Haqqani said, adding that he is frequently criticised in Pakistan for being too close to the United States. ‘It will take a while before the average Pakistani starts trusting the Americans.’ But Haqqani has gone about his work with great enthusiasm, touting Pakistan’s prospects at public speeches across Washington. This summer, he gave gentle reminders to members of Congress that the alleged corruption took place under the previous government … Haqqani is trying to persuade the Americans to fast-track about $1 billion owed to Pakistan for its military operations from April to October, roughly half a percent of Pakistan’s gross domestic product. The money has been held up by new Pentagon rules designed to improve accountability, Pakistani officials say.” The newspaper quotes Haqqani as saying, “If the world is willing to put the resources into Pakistan, there is no reason why Pakistan is not willing to defeat (terrorism) and become a more predictable nation.” The ambassador is also seeking an additional $10 billion loan from the United States at a Friends of Pakistan summit in the United Arab Emirates on Nov. 17. US officials have made no commitments so far. Obama supports a plan to give Pakistan a $1.5 billion “bonus” if it remains a democratic state. But it is unclear when, or if, that money will come through. The report notes that in the US, Haqqani became “one of the most outspoken voices for democracy, arguing passionately that the United States would be safer from terrorism if it let democracy bloom, rather than back military leaders.” As a professor, the newspaper goes on to say, Haqqani cultivated political connections that now served him well. In 2007, President Bush invited him to the White House with other Muslim scholars to give advice on how to improve the US image in the Muslim world. But he also maintained ties with an aide to Obama. This summer, Haqqani attended the Democratic National Convention and joined a meeting between Obama and the new Pakistani prime minister in New York.

Hussain Haqqani
Asma Jehanghir (HUMAN RIGHT LAWYER)
I.A. Rehman (Head of HRCP)
Aitizaz Ahsan
Imtiaz Alam
Ayesha Siddiqua
Najam Sethi
Hassan Nisar

We can see his tasteless argument in his article which was published after the tragic Srilankan cricket team attack. where he not only ridiculed almost all thebrillaint brains of our society at large but gone on labeling with Indian loyalist and being not loyal to Pakistan. And the people in the list of "india lovers" includes.

Asma Jahanghir
Ayesha Siddiqua

If Srilankan team tradegy was not good check this out the briliant Ahmed Quarishi went on writing the the ulimate article "the Business of Asma Jehangirism & liberal Extremsim" which absolutely tasteless and it was even worse than his previous article Safron Crusador on Asma jehhanghir.which can be read from the link below.

Stop dirty propaganda against Zaid Hamid

Supporters of Sipah Sahaba, Taliban and other extremist groups are currently busy in crafting and spreading dirty propaganda against Zaid Hamid

Scores of Pakistani and non-Pakistani writers/TV guests/speakers are allowed to speak against Pakistan on most of our television networks. Some of them ridicule Pakistan's Independence, others work their minds out just to prove that Pakistanis have no future and do their best to demoralize our people. The Israelis - living in a state that is truly doomed in a sea of hostility - are the most optimistic and forward-looking people you will find anywhere. Ours is a great nation, a continuing story of achievement that goes back a millennium and beyond, and a people who survived history's toughest challenges, and who are capable of emerging as a dynamic nation in the 21st century. And yet some of the 'defeatists' in our midst are celebrated and given space in our newspapers, TV screens, and radio channels. But God forbid if one of us comes forward with a strong nationalist message of hope and pride in our nation. I am referring here to Zaid Hamid, a Pakistani nationalist and a good Muslim. He hosts the show BRASSTACKS on TVNewsOne about internal and external threats to Pakistan. All that the man did was raise the voice of Pakistan and spread the message of optimism, strength and pride in who we are. Along with this he has a strong sense of religion and faith. He is a believer. But instead of appreciating the work he is doing for Pakistan, a minority of ill-intentioned people among the Pakistani elite has unleashed a campaign of disinformation against Zaid Hamid. I suspect they are doing this because they hate his strong religious views. These misguided Pakistanis forget that Zaid Hamid's religious views are open to debate. You may or may not accept them. But can you disagree with his vast body of work in defense of Pakistan and to enlighten the Pakistanis about their strengths, weaknesses, and the strategic situation we find ourselves in?

Below I share with you this private email that Mr. Hamid sent to one of our members, responding to the campaign against him. Once again, everyone can agree or disagree with the man, but we should not let a voice for Pakistan be scuttled by pessimists and self-haters.

Ahmed Quraishi

My Dear Emaad,

aa. Jazak Allah for your message.

Alhamdolillah, all my life has been spent keeping my self under tests and trials of fire, sword and blood for the sake of this deen and in love of Rasul Allah. My prayers, sacrifices, my life and death remains for Allah and His Prophet (saw). My izzat, life, parents, property, family and even good deeds are sacrificed on Rasul Allah. I am not mad to follow false prophets after Sayyadna Rasul Allah (saw).

Those with noor can see the rehma, baraka and khair from Allah and love of Rasul Allah in the life and mission of this humble faqeer. Hasbu nallah Naimul Wakeel, Naimul Maula wa naimun Naseer.

Curse of Allah, angels and momineen be on those liars who claim to be "prophets" after Sayyadna Khatim un Nabiyyeen Muhemmed Rasul Allah (saw). Also cursed and Rajeem are those who follow such liar "prophets" and also cursed are those who accuse innocent Muslims of following such false prophets. There will be no prophet after our beloved Sayyadna, Maulana, Muhemmed Rasul Allah, Rehmat ul lil Aalimeen (saw). May Allah keep us in His serene and blessed noor and Rehma in dunya and Akhira.

May Allah be my witness in both the worlds and forgive our errors, mistakes and sins and have mercy on Ummat e Sayyadna Rasul Allah (saw). Indeed Allah is the best of Protector and most merciful on His slaves.

They have accused me of gravest of sins, called me a Kafir and Murtid, follower of false prophets, running cults, doing khiyanat in wealth of orphans and widows, working for secret services against the State, and sponsoring my own program on News1 through secret funding of dubious agencies. Also, being a fraud by pretending to be a doctor or Professor !

Do I need to respond to these shameless slandering initiated by this site ??

There are four names we see: None of them know me despite their claims.

* Abid Ullah Jan -- He has never met me in life.
* Tahir (reporter) He too has never met me in life.
* N. Shahrukh, (who does not expose his name or address) whom I sure I have never met in life or at least never in last 17 years since I left Karachi.
* Faiyyaz Alam, whom I am also sure have never met in life or at least never in the last 17 years.

How on earth can they claim to know me ????? What are their motives, intentions and backers to try to stop our mission for Pakistan's national security ???

What evidence they have provided? What they present as evidence is only fabricated allegation of Kufr and Khiyanat not proof !!! Each and every allegation must be backed by proof. Quran, Sunnat, Sharia, law and truth demands it. They respond allegation with more allegation. Have they asked me and seeked clarification before making their Bohtan ?? Are they willing to come and confront me face to face with proof on all bohtans ???

I wanted to avoid a global e-mailing match as this is what they want to draw us into to distract us from our real mission for Pakistan and Ummah. Everyone is most welcome to visit us in our office in Pindi and seek any further clarification if required. I will not defend myself any further. Even if you clarify our position, please maintain dignity and honor at all times and don't make a public shouting match.

We don't need to scoop to lower levels to defend ourselves and this Deen.

We will inshallah, not be distracted and continue our mission of protecting Pakistan against all threats, internal and external.

Wassalam and duago

Zaid Hamid
