PESHAWAR: One man was killed and 18 others injured in a hand grenade attack on a Sunni mosque at Mohallah Joginwala in Dera Ismail Khan district on Tuesday evening, police said. The attacker hurled the hand grenade at the worshippers in Madani mosque during Maghrib prayers, police said. Local police officer Yaseen Khan told AFP that the explosion had caused a stampede as panicked people tried to flee. Local police and officials of the administration rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. The injured were immediately shifted to the nearby DHQ Hospital, where some were reported to be in critical condition, APP added. agencies (Daily Times)
