Taliban warn lawyers against appearing in ‘un-Islamic’ courts
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) warned Shangla district lawyers on Tuesday of serious consequences if they continued to appear in un-Islamic courts (civil and district courts) from today (Wednesday). “Lawyers are warned through this notice not to appear before civil and district courts,” a member of Shangla District Bar Association (SDBA) quoted the letter as saying.
The lawyers have suspended a bar election scheduled for April 30 due to the letter, he said on condition of anonymity. He said the lawyers’ association had informed the district police officer and the Shangla district and sessions judge of the warning. On Tuesday, the Taliban allegedly kidnapped the Puran tehsil naib nazim and four others from Jambal area. Around 70 armed Taliban have also occupied the basic health unit in the area. (Daily Times)

Mr, Mutawakil Khan Advocate elected un opposed president of Shangla Bar association and Mr, sardar Zeb advocate General secratry. The Shangla Bar association through an unanimous decision elected them. Mutawakil Khan Advocate is prominent politicle personality who belongs to PAkistan Peoples Party Sherpao and is very close companion of Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao. He also contested election of provincial assembly from plate form of PPP (Sherpao). While adressing the Bar Mutawakil Khan Advocate thanks all members of the Bar for his support and assured the Bar that he will left no stone untearn for welfare of lawyers community, developement, peace and prosperity of Shangla.

What's wrong with Imran Khan, why he has admitted adultery
“As for Sita, I never claimed to be an angel. I’ve never glossed over my personal life. I admit my faults but have since undergone an inner transformation. Spirituality has made me a better person.’”

Imran kahan is a sick person. Sometime he is in favour of Taliban and other times he is against them. He himself does not know if he is in favour of himself or aganist. When a person have led a very colorfull life with lots of women, affairs and some illigetimate kids too, he often become regilious as grow older. There is nothing wrong with that but most of such people like Imram try to force his version of beliefs on others. Imran Get life. STOp sleeping with QAZI Hussain Ahmad
Still some ‘pharaohs’ in judiciary: Kurd Wednesday, September 30, 2009 By Our Correspondent LAHORE
http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=200788
There are still some ‘pharaohs’ in the judiciary, and if I mention their names all hell will break loose, said Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Ali Ahmad Kurd during his visit to the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Monday.
Talking to media, he said that the movement for the independence of judiciary launched by the lawyers across the country had not achieved all its all objectives.
He said he did not understand why PCO judges were still working after the July 31 verdict by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The SCBA president said he did not belong to any specific group of lawyers.
The historic movement launched by the lawyers had given the nation a ray of hope about independent judicial system in the country, he said.

I would like to share a very interesting letter I just received on email, written by Supreme Court Advocate Naeem Bohkari addressed to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. It is a definite ‘must read’ for all Pakistanis
Start quote
Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry
Chief Justice
Supreme Court of Pakistan
Islamabad
Pakistan
My Lord:
I write this letter as an Officer of the Supreme Court of Pakistan; as an Advocate enrolled in the apex Court since 1984 and in the High Courts since 1972; as an Attorney who has paid more income tax from his earnings in the legal profession than many of my friends, colleagues and seniors elevated to the Bench; and as a stake-holder in the dispensation of justice, intimately and vitally interested in the functioning of the Supreme Court.
